 At the height of summer this landscape requires water no more than once every 12 days . At the end of winter it will have collected and infiltrated 84% of the roof's rainwater, over 10,000 gallons. In 5 years the 11 1-gallon plants will cover more than 70% of the garden, never requiring the use of fossil fuels, fertilizers, or pesticides. The landscape's carbon footprint is fairly low.
